New Arctic Chairs appointed
The Arctic Five appoints 16 new Arctic Five Chairs, who will build collaborations in research and education in the Fennoscandinavian Arctic in the period 2024-2026. The new chairs are:

- Armando Perez-Cueto, Umeå University
- Daniel Metcalfe, Umeå University
- Björn Norlin, Umeå University
- Niklas Eklund, Umeå University
- Tiina Maria Ikäheimo, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway
- Monika Gabriela Bartoszewicz, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway
- Wei Deng Solvang, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway
- Ana Luisa Sanchez, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway
- Osmo Kauppila, University of Oulu
- Anna Krzywoszynska, University of Oulu
- Pigga Keskitalo, University of Lapland
- Jonna Häkkilä, University of Lapland
The Arctic Five Chairs is the primary format for research collaboration within the Arctic Five, built from scholars with the will and capacity to build alliances within research and education between the Arctic Five universities, forming new collaborations or strengthening existing ones.
